‘Everything Collides’, to put it simply, is about living in the moment (a theme that you’ll find regularly pops in my music).
I’ve always been a fan of buddhism (at least its psychological elements) and ‘Everything Collides’ was written at a time when I was exploring it a great deal.
I was on holiday’s, travelling in Central America, feeling particularly chilled and in the moment, I guess, so the song is kind about enjoying that, but also looking back at the stressed out, work-a-day world, achievement oriented mentality of my life back in Sydney.
